Just like in Gran Turismo 4 , the player can choose from an available selection of motorcycles and tracks, and start a single race against three AI opponents. Again, like all Gran Turismo games, TT Mode requires the player to obtain progressively more difficult licenses to enter events and win new motorcycles. However, there is no Credits system in this game. Instead, players will win new bikes by placing first in championships and beating events in Challenge Mode though unlike cars, bikes cannot be sold.

Just like Gran Turismo 4, progressing in this game mode will unlock new bikes and tracks for use in the Arcade Mode. This mode contains a larger array of options to customise gameplay. Options include: "Strict Judgment", a second speed penalty, similar to the mechanic seen in Gran Turismo 4 Special Conditions events; and the ability to display the "Best Line", a colored line appearing on the course assisting the player in determining the fastest route around the course.

Events that will test the player's skill and response. These small races and challenges will award the player with new motorcycles if they are beaten. Similar to the license tests from the previous games, player will gradually advance through small tests designed to challenge the player's skill and coordination.

Just like the Gran Turismo series, obtaining all gold trophies on a particular license will award the player with a unique motorcycle. Screenshots can be taken from race replays and saved on a memory card or connected USB flash drives, like in Gran Turismo 4. This feature is known in-game as "Best Shot". The player can choose to save or print with an Epson compatible USB printer, or display it on the television screen using the "Musical Diorama" feature.

Unlike "Best Shot", the "Photo Mode"' parameters are fully adjustable. There are multiple shortcuts in each level, requiring track mastery to get the best time and getting to the finish line as quickly as possible. There are also strategically placed nitro crates which, if hit, the racer is given a short boost of speed to help shave off even more time. Starting off as an arcade game, Hydro Thunder is a racing game where you race as high-tech speedboats through a variety of treacherous environments including the Arctic Circle, a post-apocalyptic New York City, the Nile, Catacombs, and more.

The game was originally meant to include high-tech boats with the ability to transform with almost F-Zero like gameplay but they instead decided to go with jet skis to help set the game apart from other water-based racing games on the system. The water naturally makes waves that your jet ski hops along as you race, something that was never quite replicated, even in the sequel for the GameCube, Wave Race: Blue Storm.

Back in the golden age of kart racers, everyone and the grandma had a kart racer based on their franchise. If you are not up to de dicate yourself to mastering the controls and memorizing all of the tracks, F-Zero X may not be for you. Unlike most racing game which has low learning curbs to ensure everyone can play, F-Zero X requires absolute dedication and will take some time to get down before you can confidently win races.

It's fairly obvious that Mario Kart is many gamers all-time favorite racing game on the Nintendo As much a superb introduction to the glory of F1 motorsport as it is a compelling and sophisticated offering for long-time Formula One aficionados, Codemasters F1 is as authentic as F1 racing gets on PS5.

A joy to play and astounding to look at, Dirt 5 soars on PlayStation 5 with split-screen multiplayer modes , FPS support and a charm-stuffed single player campaign that boasts the voice talents of Nolan North and Troy Baker.

Boasting a wide variety of accurate rally and cars to tear around them in, WRC 9 is a must-have for hardcore rally fans everywhere.
